El Dorado County Transit Authority is a regional transportation operator based in Diamond Springs, California, delivering local bus service, Dial-a-Ride, and commuter connections into the Sacramento area. Founded in 1975 to serve elderly and disabled residents in the Placerville area, public service expanded to the general population in 1980, and today its routes connect communities including Pollock Pines, Camino, Placerville, El Dorado, Diamond Springs, Cameron Park, Shingle Springs, and Grizzly Flat. Dial-a-Ride provides curb-to-curb trips for seniors and people with disabilities, typically scheduled in advance, with grouping of trips where possible.
