New York-based print and digital publication Electrify Mag has tapped “it-girl,” Ashley Smith to be the face of its inaugural “Global Generation” issue, which will be available for pre-sale online on March 9, 2016. The issue will release at international newsstands and Barnes & Noble locations throughout the U.S. beginning March 25, 2016. Founded by Amanda Ho, Editor-in-Chief and publisher, the quarterly magazine was first incepted as an online publication in 2011. “Electrify Mag fills a void in the marketplace, championing the voice of globally aware, entrepreneurial professionals who believe in forging their own career path in order to take control of their future and have the flexibility to travel,” Amanda explains. “Electrify Mag is a platform for fostering creativity and innovative content with a network of influential creatives around the world. With a flair for design, art and style, Electrify Mag encapsulates the essence of a globetrotter’s lifestyle by showcasing yet-to-be-discovered destinations in travel, trailblazing artists and photographers, diving deeper into what it means to be a world citizen.” Spotlighting the alluring ‘off-the-beaten-path’ nature of Nicaragua, Electrify Mag chose Cerro Negro volcano at a 2,388 foot elevation and the sustainable luxe Jicaro Ecolodge located at Lake Nicaragua as a backdrop for the “Global Generation” cover story featuring Ashley Smith photographed by Electrify Mag’s Creative Director, Christopher DeMairo. For each quarterly issue, the magazine will create fashion editorial and landscape photography, in addition to short form video content at selected destinations. Electrifymag.com will be a driving force for the publication in addition to the quarterly print volumes. With content published daily online, the website will act as a resource for travelers and hub of creativity.
