Electron Energy Corporation (EEC) is a U.S.-based developer and producer of rare earth magnets and magnet assemblies, serving military and aerospace programs as well as medical and oil exploration industries with customers worldwide. Founded in 1970, the company is headquartered in Landisville, Pennsylvania, where the original facility built in 1985 is about 40,000 square feet and designed for rare earth permanent magnets and magnet systems. In 2012, EEC expanded its capacity with a second manufacturing facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, adding about 44,800 square feet to support finishing operations and larger magnet assemblies. The organization employs approximately 130 people and operates as an expert source of magnet technology with the ability to customize material compositions. In its recent history, EEC partnered with Ames Laboratory in 2020 to advance samarium cobalt magnet technology.
