ELGA Credit Union is a United States-based not-for-profit banking cooperative established in 1951 to serve its members' financial needs. It began to assist Consumers Energy employees and has grown into a mid-sized credit union with 13 branches across Genesee, Lapeer, and Saginaw counties. As a member-owned organization, it operates on a people-centered, not-for-profit model rather than pursuing profit-driven growth. Members have access to a broad network of over 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs, including access at Flint-area hospitals and through the Money Pass and CO-OP networks, along with digital banking available on computers, smartphones, and tablets. In March 2026, ELGA completed the acquisition of Marine Bank, signaling an expansion of its footprint.
