C&J Cladding, LLC operates in the oil and gas sector, specializing in cladding and other technical welding services. The company traces its roots to 1995 when a welder founded it to address a need for independent specialty cladding in the industry, beginning with a single machine in a shed behind a fabrication shop and working to advance the automated GTAW cladding process alongside OEMs. Today, based in Houston, Texas, it positions itself as a mid-sized provider known for its technical welding solutions.

In 2014, Ellwood Group Inc. acquired C&J Cladding and integrated it as an independent business unit serving as a welding center of excellence within the group. The organization continues to support its oil and gas customers with high-quality service while expanding capabilities into other markets. The company pursues a philosophy of perfecting new welding processes before bringing them to market, aiming to deliver reliable outcomes for challenging welding requirements.
