Elma Schmidbauer GmbH is one of the world's leading companies in the field of industrial precision cleaning. The company's core competences are ultrasonic and steam cleaning technology.
For over 75 years, Elma has stood for quality and expertise in the medical technology, photonics, dental, medical, laboratory, industrial and watch and jewellery sectors. Thanks to many years of experience, innovative research and development and industry-specific expertise, Elma supplies its customers in over 80 countries with cutting-edge technology for a wide range of applications.

In addition to series devices for ultrasonic and steam cleaning, the portfolio also includes modular and customised cleaning systems. Elma supplies the appropriate accessories for the series devices and cleaning lines. Cleaning agents developed in the company's own application laboratory and manufactured in-house solve even difficult cleaning tasks for various applications.

In the in-house process laboratory, highly qualified process engineers work together with customers to develop process solutions for individual cleaning tasks, which then result in a customised system concept including cleaning process and chemicals.

An unrestricted commitment to the highest quality forms the foundation of the company's philosophy. The consistent further development of core competences, the constant striving for continuous improvement and the constant focus on high customer satisfaction reflect Elma's very high quality standards. Elma is therefore certified by DQS in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13485: 2012.

Today, Elma is 100% family-owned and employs more than 270 people at several locations, generating an annual turnover of over EUR 50 million. The family business was founded in 1948 in Singen as a precision machine factory by Hans Schmidbauer and is now managed by Mirja Schmidbauer in the 3rd generation.
