The organization aims to provide recreational opportunities, help children learn sports and improve athletic skills, and foster social growth through teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play.

Headquartered in Eugene, Oregon, Emerald Kidsports serves the local community through a small-to-mid-sized, locally focused team. In the prior year it supported thousands of local kids through scholarships, distributing $228,494 to 4,002 participants. In April 2025 it announced a partnership with Slocum Center to promote healthy play, injury prevention, and community wellness.
