Emerge Center Against Domestic Abuse is a nonprofit organization based in Tucson, Arizona, that provides a spectrum of services to prevent domestic abuse and support those affected, including emergency shelter, housing, outreach and advocacy, and prevention and education programs. The organization was formed in 2008 through the merger of Brewster Center Domestic Violence Services and Tucson Centers for Women and Children, creating the region’s largest provider of domestic abuse prevention services and programs in Southern Arizona. It addresses all forms of abusive behavior, not just physical violence, and aims to help participants create, sustain, and celebrate a life free from abuse. Its work centers on assisting survivors with safety, stability, and long-term well-being through shelter, housing, and community resources, supported by outreach centers and volunteer initiatives. In recent years, Emerge expanded its capacity with a modern housing facility featuring 25 studio-style casitas designed for survivors.
