EMILY's List is a U.S.-based political organization and the nation's largest resource dedicated to advancing women in politics, focusing on electing Democratic, pro-choice women across the ballot. Its work includes recruiting and training candidates, supporting campaign infrastructure, researching issues affecting women and families, running a sizable independent expenditure operation for Democrats, and turning out women voters at the polls. Since its founding in 1985, EMILY's List has helped elect the country’s first woman vice president, 175 women to the House, 26 to the Senate, 20 governors, and more than 1,500 women to state and local offices, with women of color accounting for more than 40% of its congressional wins. The organization operates within the civic and social sector and aims to increase women's representation across the United States. In May 2025, EMILY's List announced a partnership with WomenCount for an online Virginia fundraiser benefitting ten candidates for statewide and state legislative offices.
