In 2000, after practicing law at a San Francisco labor and employment boutique Allison West started Employment Practices Specialists where she uses her employment law background, coupled with sound knowledge of human resource practices, and advises employers in preventing and resolving employment claims. 

Allison specializes in delivering employment law and human resources training for employers of all sizes and industries, on a variety of topics including harassment, discrimination other workplace issues. She also conducts workplace investigations, delivers one-on-one sensitivity training for managers and employees concerning sexual harassment, discrimination, and diversity awareness issues, coaches managers and employees with disciplinary and/or behavioral problems, provides expert witness and litigation assistance, consults with HR departments on administrative agency charges and employee handbooks, policies and procedures, and a offers a 24/7 employee complaint hotline.

Allison is an active member of the State Bar of California and holds her Senior Professional in Human Resources certification.
