Enders Island is an 11-acre island off the coast of Mason's Island in Mystic, CT. The grounds of Enders Island include a 360° ocean view, beautiful walking gardens, a Seaside Chapel, an outdoor Stations of the Cross, and iconic facilities including the Enders Mansion and the Catholic Chapel of Our Lady of the Assumption. Enders Island has 3 primary ministries: St. Edmund's Retreat Featuring private retreats, and an extensive array of programs open to people of all faiths: Speaker Series, Days of Recollection; Day, Weekend, and Week-long Retreats for men, women, clergy, married couples, and a variety of special interest groups. The Sacred Art Institute Offering week-long residency workshops in Iconography, Illumination, Calligraphy, Stained Glass, and Sacred Music among others. All Sacred Art Workshops feature highly skilled instructors and can be taken for college credit through Holy Apostles College in Cromwell, CT. A Recovery Community Featuring weekly 12-step meetings at Fr. Joe's Place, a Recovery Residence for college-aged men, and a satellite office of the CatholicPsych Institute. 11th Step Recovery Retreats are offered throughout the year. Visitor parking is provided immediately to the left of the causeway. Our Gift Store featuring homemade jams, jellies, artwork, and apparel is located in the center of the island in the lobby of St. Michael's Hall. Our offices are open from 9 am to 4:30 pm on Monday - Friday and from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday.
