Engaging Schools is a small nonprofit based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, that collaborates with educators in middle and high schools to foster a schoolwide community of learning. The organization’s work weaves academic, social, and emotional development together to prepare each student for success beyond the classroom. It provides professional development and practical resources anchored in equity, community, and democracy to help teachers engage students and support positive outcomes. Its core services for middle and high schools include Engaged Classrooms, Schoolwide Discipline and Student Support, and Advisory Plus, described as research-based offerings that strengthen teacher effectiveness, align discipline with student support, and support effective advisory programs. All services are delivered by consultants who are former teachers and administrators with deep experience guiding organizational change and helping districts and schools build healthy school culture and climate. In addition, Engaging Schools offers programs addressing bullying, peer mediation, conflict resolution, and diversity, and continues to provide its Resolving Conflict Creatively and Adventures in Peacemaking programs for early childhood, elementary, and afterschool providers.
