Engen Contracting, Inc. (“ECI”) was founded in 1997 by two brothers, Chris and Geoff Engen. At the inception, they had a vision to serve the local Austin community with a dependable, faith driven and trusted commercial construction company.  Since that time, ECI has redefined itself through a transformation that broadened its focus into the Central Texas area with additional exposure in the San Antonio, Houston and DFW markets as well.  ECI is motivated to effectively serve its clients by way of aligning them with a construction team best suited for the needs of the specific project at hand. 

ECI operates from a simple philosophy; think through solutions, execute a well thought out plan, conduct business in an ethical and fair manner, fulfill customer obligations and continually strive to improve on expectations.  We interact with our employees, subcontractors/vendors, clients and consultants with a respect that is consistent from project to project. Regardless of the varying chemistries and wide ranging personalities unique to each project; our success is judged nearly exclusively by our ability to effectively adapt and build positive and lasting relationships.

In April ECI was awarded Retail Rehab Winner and New Retail Development Winner in the Austin Business Journal's 2013 Commercial Real Estate Awards.
