English Speaking Board (International) Ltd, the ‘Awarding Organisation of the Year 2023’, has over 70 years’ expertise in creating, assessing and awarding qualifications for Oracy and English language. Its Ofqual Accredited qualifications empower children, young people and adults to enhance their communication skills and confidence essential for personal, academic and professional success. 

We work with over 200 schools and organisations, including several third-party providers in the UK and internationally, assessing 12,000 learners each year and providing them with a unique Oracy qualification portfolio. This includes assessments in Debating, Group Speaking, Speech Pathways, and more, which can be easily integrated into a school’s curriculum or used as an enrichment activity. 

In addition, we offer ESOL Skills for Life qualifications that are designed for individuals, above the age of 16 years, who live, study or work in the UK and who wish to develop their English Language skills. 

ESB has an excellent working relationship with a number of high-quality international centres who manage a range of satellite centres or venues where ESB’s Ofqual Regulated ESOL International assessments take place. Annually we certify 20-30,000 learners for these qualifications.  
  
Our ESOL International qualifications are designed to encourage progression by developing English language skills from A1 through to C2 and are delivered in eight countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
