In addition to conventional plastic injection molding, EnTech specializes in GAS-ASSIST molding which produces parts with a hollow core weighing 30 – 40 % less than conventionally molded plastic parts.

In GAS-ASSIST molding, after the plasticized resin has been injected into the mold, nitrogen gas is injected into the hot melt stream. The nitrogen gas displaces resin in the thick sections of the part and is vented out after the plastic has cooled and before the part is ejected from the mold. Other benefits of GAS-ASSIST molding include: faster production times, improved structural strength through precise ribs and bosses, increased stiffness-to-weight ratio, and reduced warping.
 
With machines ranging from 28 to 1,100 Tons, EnTech can produce plastic parts from as small as one gram to as large as over 20 pounds.
