Based in Fairway in the Kansas City region, the Enterprise Center in Johnson County is a small nonprofit that connects early-stage entrepreneurs with the resources they need to grow and scale. It supports the development of the region's future companies by selecting local startups in their early stages and providing mentoring, financial education, and early-stage capital to accelerate growth and job creation. The center manages three early-stage equity funds—the Fountain Innovation Fund for seed-stage ventures and the Women's Capital Connection and Mid-America Angels for angel-stage investing—and also hosts the Women's Business Center, which offers business planning, education, and mentoring for women-led businesses.
