Environmental Traveling Companions (ETC) is a California-based organization that provides outdoor experiences for people with disabilities and youth from under-resourced backgrounds. Through activities such as rafting, skiing, kayaking, and leadership development, ETC aims to expand access to outdoor education and challenge, while offering a vital extension of services for partner social service agencies and schools. The organization operates within the wellness and fitness services sector, situating itself as a programmatic provider of hands-on outdoor education and experiential learning in which participants can build leadership and resilience. Based in San Francisco and serving a regional community, ETC collaborates with a broad network of partner agencies to reach more than a few thousand participants annually, positioning itself as a key facilitator of inclusive outdoor experiences for youth and individuals with disabilities.
