Every student deserves good mental health. At Erika's Lighthouse, we are a mission-driven non-profit dedicated to ensuring no student feels alone. We empower grades 4-12 school communities with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate the youth mental health crisis through high-quality, evidence-informed depression education and suicide prevention. Our Four Pillar Philosophy We believe that addressing youth mental health requires collective action. Our comprehensive Four Pillar Model creates a "wraparound" environment of support for students: - Classroom Education: Skills-based lessons that equip students to recognize signs of depression in themselves and their peers. - Empowerment Clubs: Student-led initiatives that reduce stigma and normalize conversations. - Family Engagement: Resources that bridge the gap between school and home, helping parents become trusted adults. - Policy & Staff Training: Equipping educators to foster a positive school climate and effectively manage crises. Impact That Matters Our programs are making a measurable difference in school districts across the country: - 89% of students can identify signs and symptoms of depression after our program. - 93% of students believe we should be talking about mental health. - 96% of students recognize the importance of seeking help for a friend in need. Why We’re Unique We are proud to provide our entire suite of professional-grade resources entirely free to any school, anywhere. Because we believe money should never be a barrier to a child's well-being, we operate through the incredible generosity of our donors and partners.
