Founded in 2001, the Esplanade Association is a community-supported nonprofit based in Boston, Massachusetts, devoted to caring for the Charles River Esplanade, a 64-acre state park managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. Through a range of projects and programs, it aims to improve the park experience for more than four million visitors each year, including tree planting through the Lasting Esplanade Arbor Fund and repairs to notable amenities such as Lotta Fountain and the Community Boating docks. 

It supports over 100 free educational, recreational, and cultural programs annually and participates in public art commissions and accessible playground design. It is advancing a Charlesbank Landing project that would add a new building and a two-acre landscape, designed to invite neighborhoods to use the park year-round, and it has planned a Gronk Playground for 2025. It operates with a small to mid-sized staff within the Boston region, coordinating with partners across the community.
