Essex County Fire and Rescue Service is a public-safety organization serving the county of Essex in England. It coordinates prevention, protection and emergency response from its headquarters and control centre at Kelvedon Park in Kelvedon, with operations supported by 50 fire stations and an Urban Search and Rescue facility. The service serves about 1.88 million residents, making it one of the largest fire and rescue services in the country. It operates across Essex, including major infrastructure such as Stansted and Southend airports, Harwich seaport, Tilbury docks, Lakeside, portions of the M25 and M11, and seven underground stations. The organization is based on London Road in Rivenhall, England, and has pursued recent safety collaborations, including a motorcycle safety initiative known as FireBike developed with Essex Police Road Safety in 2026 and a water-safety training session delivered in partnership with the RNLI.
