The Eugene Mission, in existence since 1956, is Eugene/Springfield's only full-service wellness center for the homeless, providing its guests with a path off the streets, both for the short-term and long-term. We have three Centers – one each for Men, Women, and Mothers and Children. Our Mission: To demonstrate God's love by compassionately providing emergency services and long-term solutions to help our homeless neighbors transition back into the community with gainful employment, sustainable income and stable housing. Our average of 400-700 daily guests come from all over the northwest. In a given year, we provide over 250,000 meals, 140,000 beds, free clothing, showers, toiletries, and professional case management. Every guest who walks through our doors is welcomed with the love of God, and is offered hope -- by the meeting of their immediate practical needs, and by providing long term solutions to assist them in overcoming barriers to employment and housing. Our goal is to end homelessness for permanently for the people we serve. In addition to the immediate and basic services and assertive one-on-one case management, we offer a free 12-18 month Life Change relapse prevention program for men who desire to end the cycle of behaviors that led them to homelessness. This program is led by both staff and community volunteers. The goal for each Life Change member upon graduation from the program is to have the ability to live independently of the Mission with housing, employment or sustainable income, a mentor, and a church. The Eugene Mission is a 501-c-3 non-profit and donations are tax deductible.
