Europa Nostra is a European nonprofit organization based in The Hague, South Holland, that works to safeguard Europe’s cultural and natural heritage. It operates a pan-European network comprising hundreds of member organisations with millions of members, plus associated governmental bodies, local authorities, and corporations, as well as a large base of individual supporters. The group serves as a lobby for cultural heritage in Europe, celebrates excellence through the European Heritage Awards organized with the European Union, and campaigns to protect endangered monuments, sites, and cultural landscapes. In 2026 it participated in initiatives such as launching the outdoor photo exhibition Portraits of Women – Beyond the Stones at the European Cultural Heritage Summit, produced jointly with ALIPH.
