I mai 1992 åpnet Wiggo Erichsen opp den første Europris butikken i Stavanger. Butikken, som bærer navnet Støperigata, er i dag en av 278 Europris butikker.

I år 2000 kjøpte «engrosgrûnderen» Terje Høili seg inn i Europris og tok oss med på en fantastisk reise hvor vårt merkenavn virkelig ble kjent for allmenheten. Gründerne solgte seg senere ut av selskapet, men følger fortsatt engasjert med på det vi driver med. I juni 2015 ble Europris notert på Oslo Børs og en ny og spennende fase i vårt Lavpriseventyr er igang. 

I dag er vi en landets mest kjente kjeder. Over 90% av alle nordmenn sier de kjenner til Europris. Butikkene våre er lokalisert over hele vårt langstrakte land, og vi vokser med ca. 10 nye butikker hvert år. Ca. 30% av våre butikker er eid av franchisetakere og de siste 70% er egeneide butikker. 

Vi er også en hjørnesteinsbedrift i Fredrikstad, hvor vårt hovedkontor og vårt store sentrallager er plassert. På lageret vårt  jobber det ca. 150 ansatte hver eneste dag med å ta imot ordrer, og motta og sende ut varer til butikkene våre. På hovedkontoret vårt forøvrig er det ca. 135 ansatte som har som oppgave å gjøre hverdagen ute i butikk enklere og mer effektiv.

Nærmere 86% av varene våre kommer fra egen grossist. Vi har fokus på å kjøpe flest mulig varer direkte fra produsent, i store kvanta og gjerne sammen med internasjonale partnere. Det gjør at vi kan holde så lave priser.
