EVHybridNoire is described as the first national multicultural nonprofit dedicated to education, environmental public policy advocacy, and providing resources around sustainable energy platforms for underserved communities and communities of color. Its work focuses on addressing the gap in access and adaptation to electric, hybrid, and alternative-fuel vehicles for diverse audiences. With automakers shifting toward all-electric and other energy platforms, the organization positions itself as a catalyst for change within the mobility landscape.

The organization is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and operates as a nonprofit with a relatively small staff. Its target beneficiaries include underserved communities of color and other diverse groups, for whom it offers education and policy guidance. A recent development noted in February 2024 is a partnership with Clean Energy Credit Union to educate and advocate for EVs and e-mobility in underserved communities.
