Ewopharma is a privately held Swiss pharmaceutical company headquartered in Schaffhausen, with 201-500 employees. It is the successor to M.R. Leclerc & Co., founded in 1959, and has focused on building bridges to the pharmaceutical markets of Central Eastern Europe. The company began as a marketing partner for pharmaceutical companies and has since acquired and launched proprietary products, including Revalid, a hair care and hair loss treatment line developed in Switzerland in 1992. In 2011 Ewopharma acquired Newport Pharmaceuticals Ltd., giving it full ownership of the antiviral drug Isoprinosine, and in 2004 it joined the RX-Alliance, a professional cooperation network. More recently, Ewopharma has expanded through acquisitions and partnerships, including the 2024 acquisition of AllergyCare AG and distribution agreements or collaborations with BioGaia, Translumina, Dr. Falk Pharma, and CStone Pharmaceuticals.
