The mission of the expERIEnce Children’s Museum is to enrich the lives of children by providing an educational, creative, interactive, and safe environment where learning and fun go hand in hand. They do this by providing educational and creative hands-on experiences in arts and humanities, sciences, health and wellness, and culture. The expERIEnce Children’s Museum, located in the heart of downtown Erie, is the only children’s museum centrally located between three major metropolitan areas: Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Annually Museum staff welcome on average nearly 40,000 visitors from Erie County, the tri-state region, and beyond. Geared primarily toward children ranging in age from 2 to 10, the Children’s Museum invites families to explore dozens of interactive exhibits and hands-on activities that appeal to the imagination, curiosity, and creativity of us all.
