FCH is a midsized, multifaceted litigation law firm with its principal office in New York City and a satellite office in Connecticut. Our construction litigation practice is the cornerstone of the firm and involves the representation of owners, developers, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors and municipal entities in connection with the defense of property damage and bodily injury cases, insurance coverage disputes and contractual claims. The firm also handles the defense of premises liability, products liability, commercial transportation liability and professional liability claims.

What makes our firm different from the rest is our “big picture” approach to the defense of our clients. In many cases, we handle all of their local claims and are therefore familiar with their business model and practices, their projects, their field and office personnel, their records and record keeping practices, and where applicable, their subcontractors. Lawyers are assigned by client in order to maintain a consistent approach to discovery and client requests for information. There is partner oversight on each and every file to maintain a consistent approach to the litigation and to lend the perspective of a trial attorney. We also make it our business to understand the business of our clients. This enables us to speak with client personnel in a way that they understand and to gain the trust which is essential to a full disclosure of all relevant information and material and a witnesses’ peak performance at deposition and at trial.

All of the firm’s partners and associates are actively engaged in litigation. In addition to the defense of claims against our clients in the highly technical specialties referenced above, we provide counseling designed to assist in the prevention of future losses and litigation. We also provide counseling in connection with insurance coverage questions and all forms of property and casualty insurance.
