The Fabricators and Manufacturers Association (FMA) is a nonprofit organization serving the metal fabrication sector, with more than 2,500 individual and company members. Based in Elgin, Illinois, it serves members across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and into more than a dozen other countries. The association connects metal fabricators and equipment manufacturers through technology councils, educational programs, networking events, and the FABTECH trade show, and it participated in its 18th Annual Safety Conference in February 2026. Its publications include The Fabricator, The Tube and Pipe Journal, The Welder, and Canadian editions such as Canadian Metalworking and Canadian Fabricating & Welding. FMA also operates two technology affiliates, the Tube and Pipe Association (TPA) and the Association of Metal Processors and Distributors (AMPD), and supports SparkForce, a foundation that funds youth manufacturing camps and post-secondary scholarships; it also co-founded Manufacturing Day to promote awareness of modern manufacturing.
