Factory Theatre, based in Toronto, Ontario, is a performing arts company founded in 1970 that concentrates on presenting Canadian plays. Its work aims to translate Canadian playwrights' visions to the stage and to cultivate the next generation of intercultural theatre artists through its production program. For more than four decades, it has established itself as a home for Canadian playwrights, developing and presenting works that contribute to the national canon. In late 2022, Mel Hague was appointed artistic director, providing new leadership for the company’s programming. The theatre has engaged in collaborations, such as a 2022 collaboration with Aluna Theatre.
