FairShare CSA Coalition is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Madison, WI and serving farmers and eaters throughout the Midwest. Our mission is to build resilient food communities by investing in farmers and empowering eaters. Our focus throughout our work is to center the well-being of farmers, strengthen equitable, community-based food markets, and act as a collaborative leaders in our food communities. We support consumers in our community to: - Find local, organic CSA farms in their community. - Receive financial assistance to purchase CSA shares through the Partner Shares Program. We support our farmer community to: - Engage in educational workshops and resources focused on production, labor and sales. - Participate in a dynamic farmer-to-farmer community of support. - Collaborate on creating the next generation of farmers through the Organic Vegetable Farm Manager Apprenticeship Program. - Strengthen farmers’ confidence and skills through peer-to-peer labor management training. - Along with key partners, provide robust resource-sharing, trainings and discussions through a national CSA network. - Connect with technical assistance providers and skill building opportunities through the Midwest Vegetable Growers Network (MVEG). We envision thriving farms, vibrant communities, and fresh food for all!
