Families First opened its doors to children and families in 1986, providing a unique array of services available to the general public. Today Circle of Parents ® support groups, parent education classes, early childhood home visitation and a statewide support and resource line are offered to help prevent child abuse and neglect. For children who have been innocent victims of abuse or severe neglect, the Children’s Treatment Center provides 24-hour supervised care where children can heal in a residential treatment program. Our mission is to prevent the abuse and neglect of children by providing education, family support, and treatment. We envision a community where every child grows up feeling safe and valued in a nurturing family environment.
