Fastems is a Finnish company that provides CNC automation solutions for variable batch production, also known as high-mix, low-volume manufacturing. It describes itself as an open integrator with more than four decades of experience and over 4,000 installations across more than 90 machine tool brands. Its systems typically automate milling (3- to 5-axis), turning, turn-mill and grinding operations, while tying into data systems to support production planning and resource management. The offering also spans automated peripheral processes such as measuring, washing, marking, finishing, deburring, robotic finishing cells, robotic part loading to pallets, and tool automation.
Headquartered in Tampere, Pirkanmaa, Finland, the company serves manufacturers seeking reliable, timely automation across mixed production lines. In early 2025, Fastems named Greg Haley as President of its Americas region operations, reflecting ongoing international expansion.
