Connecting formerly incarcerated fathers with their professional and civic promise. Fathers Building Futures is an economic development initiative for fathers demonstrating professional promise. Providing affordable, meaningful and useful services to the community. Fathers are trained in a business of their choice: Auto Detailing, Mobile Power Washing and Custom Woodworking. This project has been inspired by the courageous men who have, and who will continue to, overcome obstacles in order to succeed as providers for their children and community. These services are available to all eligible persons regardless of race, gender, age, disability, or religion. Fathers Building Futures is part of PB&J Family Services, a 501(c)3 serving New Mexico as the only child abuse and neglect, prevention and treatment program with the unique focus of education and support for the whole family. PB&J’s mission is to help at-risk children to grow and develop to their full potential in nurturing families within a supportive community. Serving Bernalillo County, Sandoval County and surrounding pueblos, PB&J programs include Therapeutic Preschools for children and their parents, community and home visiting programs to support healthy, stable parent-child relationships and programs for families impacted by incarceration.
