FB Environmental Associates is a mid-sized environmental consulting firm that directs projects in planning, permitting, assessment, monitoring, mapping, and restoration. The firm applies science-based, practical approaches to managing water and natural resources, with a focus on clean water, biodiversity conservation, and environmental justice for public and private clients. Founded in 2001, the company is based in Portland, Maine, with an additional office in Dover, New Hampshire, and a team with extensive experience across New England.

Its client base includes public agencies and private organizations seeking guidance on resource management, regulatory compliance, and habitat restoration. The associates collectively bring substantial experience in water and natural-resource initiatives across New England, enabling work from planning through restoration. In October 2021, the University of Maine partnered with FB Environmental and the Horsley Witten Group to prepare a Lake Auburn study examining how its use is regulated.
