FC Zürich is a Swiss professional football club based in the city of Zurich. It was founded on August 1, 1896, by former members of FC Turicum, FC Excelsior and FC Viktoria, and it has grown into one of the country's best known and most successful clubs. The club has won the Swiss championship 13 times, most recently in 2021/2022, and the Swiss Cup ten times; its FCZ Academy trains more than 600 youth players. The women's team has achieved substantial success, with 24 league titles, 15 cups, and 11 appearances in the UEFA Women's Champions League.
