Federmeccanica is the Italian metalworking industry trade federation, organized as a non-profit and based in Rome, Lazio. Established in 1971, it represents and assists the metalworking-manufacturing Groups affiliated with local Territorial Industrial Associations under Confindustria, coordinating industrial relations and negotiating the National Collective Labour Contract for the sector. The federation serves a broad network of member groups and, through its regional federations, encompasses a sizable portion of Italy’s metalworking industry, supporting workforce and enterprise-related topics, research, education, and professional training. Federmeccanica operates at the European level from its Brussels office, engaging with European institutions and participating in CEEMET to advocate for manufacturing and work-related interests across the region.
