Felton Institute is a nonprofit organization in the mental health care sector based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 1889, it provides evidence-based mental health and social services aimed at addressing human needs and transforming lives. It partners with other community and public-sector organizations to extend its reach, including the Vallejo Police Department on the Vallejo Integrated Health and Resource Team project to support crisis response and community health. It has collaborated with the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation to weave the local safety net and has advanced early care initiatives through the ECE Community Hub developed with the Department of Children, Youth and Families, the Office of Early Care and Education, and First Five San Francisco. In 2026, Felton joined with Compass SF and Wu Yee to develop a collaborative report drawing on input from more than 400 educators and providers across the city.
