Fighting for Home Ice is a philanthropic fundraising organization based in Lakeside, California, established in July 2015 by an active duty Navy family connected to the San Diego area. The group supports military families in San Diego County by providing free hockey equipment and financial assistance to help offset the costs of playing hockey, aiming to sustain and grow the sport within the local military community. Operating as a program of Fighting for Home Sports, it relies entirely on private and corporate donations to fund its activities. The organization sits within the broader context of youth and amateur hockey support and military community outreach, serving a niche where cost barriers can affect participation. The site provides a channel for donations to continue offering equipment and grants to eligible families, reflecting a targeted service model within philanthropic fundraising services.
