FAN is a youth-centered community of safe places and linked hearts, where youth impacted by the child welfare system can nurture their interests and talents, acquire new skills, and gain a sense of personal and group recognition in an atmosphere of hope. Our programming is designed to reach vulnerable youth and teens and support them through young adulthood. At our youth-led peer-operated center (POC), we provide a safe environment for youth to come to be accepted and allowed the autonomy to become advocates for themselves and their peers. It is our hope that participants who complete FAN’s programming emerge W.H.O.L.E (W.orking, H.oused/holistically healthy, O.pen to new people and experiences, L.oved/loving, and E.ducated).
