The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) is a statutory authority established under the FRCS Act 1998 in the government administration sector, governed by a Board and administered by a Chief Executive, with more than 800 officers including managers and a workforce of 501–1000 employees. Its core functions include collecting taxes and duties for the government, providing advisory services on tax and customs matters to stakeholders, facilitating trade and travel, and protecting the border. FRCS operates from ten locations across Fiji, including Suva, with a presence in Ba, Labasa, Lautoka, Levuka, Nadi, Rakiraki, Nausori, Savusavu, and Sigatoka. The agency has undertaken a transformation toward world class operations, including a restructuring and changes to processes, systems, policies, and internal acts. Recent developments include leadership appointments in 2024 and 2025 and the launch of online taxpayer service modules in 2019–2020.
