Film Journal International is a trade publication and website serving the motion picture industry, with a focus on theatrical exhibition. It reports on U.S. and international developments and features coverage of upcoming films, industry trends, theatre design, equipment, concessions, digital cinema, sound, and screen advertising. Each issue includes a Buying and Booking Guide and in-depth film reviews intended to assist theatre operators, along with special guides to international distribution and exhibition.

The publication celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2014 and is based in New York City with a small staff. Its audience comprises theatre operators and other industry professionals, and it covers major industry conventions such as ShowEast, CinemaCon, CineEurope and CineAsia; in 2018 it partnered with Wrpioneers to launch a Legacy series honoring pioneering families in motion picture exhibition.
