Financial Planning Hawaii and its sister company Fee-Only Planning Hawaii provide objective comprehensive financial planning guidance to individuals and families in Hawaii and across the U.S. 

Our pricing structure offers a choice of either a negotiated flat-fee for clients seeking a one-time comprehensive review with no expectation of ongoing portfolio management or a tiered asset-based compensation model that starts a .75% per year and declines to .08% for assets under management above $5 million for clients seeking ongoing financial planning guidance that includes portfolio management.  We are held to a fiduciary standard of conduct by the SEC under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.

All FPH and FOPH clients are provided with an online platform that enables them to centralize and organize all aspects of their financial lives.  Our planning service begins with a labor-intensive information-gathering process that includes linking accounts at all financial institutions, uploading relevant planning documents (e.g., tax returns, estate planning documents, employee benefits handbooks, beneficiary designations, insurance coverage information, real estate documents, etc.), completion of multiple short, targeted questionnaires, and several direct client interactions. 

Once we have a complete 360 degree view of our client’s existing financial situation we review the data to catch mistakes and oversights and to inform our clients of unique rules and opportunities that may help them save money, avoid unnecessary risk, and operate more efficiently.  We view this process as a treasure hunt, and it is not uncommon for us to discover 20-30 unique findings.
