Fingrid Oyj is a Finnish public limited company charged with transmitting electricity through the country’s high-voltage transmission system. Its nationwide grid forms the backbone of Finland’s power system, connecting major power plants, industrial facilities, and regional distribution networks. The Finnish transmission system is integrated with the inter-Nordic network and linked to Europe via high-voltage direct current connections, including links to Estonia; the network encompasses more than 14,000 kilometres of 400, 220 and 110 kilovolt lines and over 100 substations. Based in Helsinki in the Southwest Finland region, Fingrid serves customers including large energy producers, industrial facilities, and regional distribution networks that rely on reliable transmission. In June 2026, Fingrid announced a collaboration with Digia Plc to act as a data partner for development and maintenance of Fingrid’s data platform.
