Firebird Theatre - Phoenixville operates as a local non-profit community theatre devoted to youth performers from elementary through college age. It was founded in Phoenixville in 2010 with a mission to offer affordable, high-quality opportunities to participate in theatre and to cultivate an appreciation for the arts within the community. Based in Audubon, Pennsylvania, the organization maintains a year-round program slate designed to develop a broad range of theatrical skills. Its summer program centers on a full-scale main-stage Broadway musical with an orchestra, complemented by junior musical theater camps that culminate in a Broadway Junior performance. During the school year, Firebird runs a Saturday morning theatre workshop series, audition workshops, and an Annual Holiday Revue, along with an Internship Program for high school and college students in arts, education, and business fields under professional supervision. The programming emphasizes skill development across acting, singing, dancing, stage management, set construction, prop and costume creation, as well as lighting, sound, promotions, teamwork, and community outreach.
