First Methodist Church Tulsa is a historic religious institution serving the Tulsa area from its location at 1115 South Boulder Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Its origins trace back to 1886, when Methodists established a congregation in a frontier town then part of Indian Territory, gathering for worship in an open-air setting. By 1921 the congregation moved to its present site, and the Cathedral Sanctuary was dedicated in 1928, marking a long-standing presence in the community. The church emphasizes spiritual formation and life transformation within the congregation, in the local community, and around the world, guiding people toward a deeper commitment to Jesus Christ.

As a religious institution, it can be viewed as a small to mid-sized congregation with a focus on discipleship and service. Its mission is to see all people become fully committed followers of Jesus Christ, supported by worship, community engagement, and worldwide outreach.
