FIRST North Carolina provides life-changing high school robotics programs that give young people the skills, confidence, and resilience to build a better world. 

We want students to thrive in a high-tech world with an unbridled passion for skilled trades, engineering, computer science, and corporate problem-solving. FIRST's hands-on approach enables students to "test drive" these areas to see where their interests and aptitudes fit.

Through this program, high school students work with professional mentors to design, build, and compete with industrial-sized robots in an intense 3-month season. Along the way, they learn engineering, coding, project management, fundraising, and leadership skills that prepare them for further education and high-demand careers in STEM and advanced manufacturing. More than a robotics competition, FIRST North Carolina connects high school students, schools, and communities with North Carolina employers seeking their next generation of talent.
