First Presbyterian Church of Honolulu is a religious institution based in Kaneohe, Hawaii, with a founding date of 1959. Its mission centers on loving God and people and reaching the world for Jesus Christ, inviting individuals to know and live in Jesus’ love and grace and to share that message with others. In 2006 the church purchased a 246-acre parcel of zoned conservation land and relocated its services to ballrooms on a nearby golf course. In 2020 it partnered with Hawaii Foodbank to run a food distribution program serving about 1,000 households affected by the coronavirus pandemic. These activities demonstrate the church’s engagement with local community initiatives in Hawaii beyond its regular worship activities.
