Fishburne Military School (FMS) is the smallest military school in Virginia on purpose — so we can truly get to know every boy who comes here and propel him toward the future that has the most meaning and purpose for him. Because we’re small, boys cannot hide here. And instead of feeling invisible, misunderstood, or not challenged, every boy at Fishburne — finally seen and totally supported — grows into the best version of himself.

Our academic program is research-based and uses the best methods for teaching boys. We meet each cadet where he is and guide him toward his passions with the skills to succeed. Complementing our academics is an athletic program where your son will play, compete and be a part of a team no matter the sport. He will learn the value of teamwork and overcoming adversity to achieve a collective goal. And finally, we offer Barracks Life and Army JROTC programs that develop discipline, honor, loyalty, respect, and merit for your son— traits he will use for the rest of his life.
