Fishburners is a Sydney-based organization located in Haymarket, New South Wales, operating within the technology, information and internet sector as Australia’s largest and longest-running tech startup community. Its purpose is to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship by providing founders with access to a broad range of resources and insights to help them build commercially viable ventures. The group positions itself as an expert voice in early-stage entrepreneurship, aiming to support a diverse and sustainable startup community. Its activities target founders and early-stage startups seeking guidance, mentorship and community resources within Australia’s startup ecosystem. In 2023 it expanded leadership and governance with Majella Campbell appointed Chief Operating Officer and new board members Taryn Williams and Samantha Martin-Williams joining the board, and it has formed notable collaborations such as a Circular Hub with Boomerang Labs supported by the City of Sydney, as well as a partnership with Dell for Startups.
