Fisher King Winery was a small beverage producer and winery based in Verona, Wisconsin, focused on crafting wine and offering hands-on winemaking services. The business permanently closed due to the severe economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. A new winery is planned to open in south-central Wisconsin this summer, and Fisher King Winery’s founder has been hired as general manager and winemaker; the new venture may be owned by others, and bottles will no longer bear the Fisher King Winery name, though the wine quality will remain at the level previously produced. Founder Alwyn Fitzgerald leads FK Vines Now Consulting, providing winemaking and winery consulting to Wisconsin wineries with hands-on support across operations from front of house to the fermentation cellar. The company’s history includes a relocation from Mount Horeb to Verona in 2017. Inquiries and a free initial consultation can be requested via Fitz@FisherKingWinery.com.
